Antiplagiarism policy

Bad practices can be identified by the Editor and the editorial team, as well as reviewers or readers. Accusations of plagiarism will be attended when they are well founded and accompanied with evidence. Attention to these cases will be based on the COPE flowcharts, adapting them to the structure of the Journal.

Examples of bad practices in authorship can be: plagiarism, self-plagiarism, previous publication of same material, data forgery and false results of the investigation.

The first responder is the Journal Editor, who will first contact the author under conflict, to let him/her know of the specific case and will request a response to the allegation, without revealing the name of the person who pointed out the fault.

The case will be shared with the members of the Technical Committee and/or Editorial Board, who will collectively make a decision based on the evidence provided and the severity of the case, which may result in the withdrawal of the article from the review or editing process. or removal of the published article from the journal page.

When the offense is serious and involves a violation of the law, the case will be transferred to the Office of the General Counsel of the Universidad de Guadalajara, from where the determined process will be followed.

If it is considered necessary and/or useful for the scientific community, the Universities or Research Centers of the investigated author may be involved in the case, as well as the corresponding government agencies (Conacyt, in the case of Mexico).

It is the authors' responsibility to ensure that manuscripts submitted to EconoQuantum are original, have not been published, and are not being considered for publication elsewhere.

For early prevention and addressing of plagiarism cases, the use of a detection system (iThenticate) has been implemented through which all articles are submitted before being accepted for evaluation, where the level of similarity with other texts is identified and that the cited information is correctly attributed to its original authorship.
